Lollipop's Playland and Cafe

Attended a birthday party here today. I thought the staff did a good job in managing the party. The pricing for general admission is a bit odd, $3.50 for adults to enter and supervise but complementary drinks provided. Lollipops Carrum Downs used to have this pricing structure and admittedly, we avoided it because of that. But they (Carrum Downs) have changed their pricing to remove a charge for adults. Another positive is that staff were actively telling kids not to climb up the slides. There was a sign there clearly stating that.

This place is cool. Had never seen anything like it before. Big indoor playground, lots of space to explore, crawl on, jump off of etc… it’s really cool. Can easily get lost in the maze of tunnels and bridges. Some of the toys have seen better days, they don’t all work. Could use some maintenance but it’s all good. There’s a sign saying “adults Mayr enter for upper vision only”… i break this rule everyone by enjoying myself while supervising my child :)

This review is reflective of a few visits, as a temporary care provider, for two delightful children who do enjoy the play. However, from an adult perspective - here is my review. The front counter staff are always delightful. In general, the place is rather untidy throughout the day - many tables are left unclear (rubbish, cold food) and the general floor (not play area) can be a disaster at times. Our 12 month old has picked up everything from food to bottle tops, you have to keep hyper vigilant. The food / drink counter has some very questionable service. I didn’t expect an amazing coffee, though I did expect it to arrive. When I went to the counter 30 minutes later, with the table number provided to me, and politely asked, the girl looked at me, searched the receipts, and told me she put it on my table. I said that was impossible, as I haven’t left my table. She then pointed to the table she put it down on, no where near me! She reluctantly made me another. There was no apology. So. That’s my experience. I personally feel a bit icky. Maybe avoid if this type of stuff would gross you out too.

Wouldn’t recommended! We had a party today and very disappointed. I chose platinum package, nearly no service at all. I need to ask everything by myself and I was been told the party host is only in charge of serving food. However, parents helped serving food. The Cat has no interaction with kids. The quality of food is below. Also lolly bag is very small, I feel very embarrassed when kids were crying to ask birthday bag.

Worst birthday party experience! So called hosting was explained as serving food only but they didn’t even serve food well. Family members had to help. We needed to ask for everything we needed for every step, like food, drinks, birthday cake and so on! We ordered ultimate package. Each food option was served in a super small bowl for 16 kids! The ice cream cake was super small as well. Every thing happened on site was so frustrating and embarrassing. It was a mess. And the pizza included in the package wasn’t even served at all. I strongly recommend you not to come here to celebrate your kids’birthday. Otherwise you will see a disaster!

Great place for kids. I would like to leave these stars mainly for the lovely staff, Lauren who guards the pirate ship ride. She shows compassion and a lot of attention for the kids esp. Making sure all kids are secured before the ride and throughout the ride she's doing her excellent supervising with every single kids. One kid was scared of the height and cried in the middle of the ride so she slowed it down, stopped the ride and helped that kid to get off first before starting again. She also communicates well with every kid and was very friendly. This place will become our regular regardless of the distance from our home. Kids had great time
